Dart frogs are rare spawns in deep rainforest biomes. They always spawn alone. Male and females are equally likely to spawn, and are not sexually dimorphic.

The dart frog is a medium speed, timid animal.

Dart frogs can be tamed with insectivore kibble.

Dart frogs have 2 hearts (4 points) of health, can not deal damage, and drop nothing.

Dart frogs are tiny animals with pint-sized food needs. They eat an insectivore diet.

Dart frogs can use the heat lamp and heat rock enrichment items.

Dart frogs are a medium fertility species, and can be bred with a leafcutter ant. As tiny-sized animals they have a gestation time of 24,000 ticks, and give birth to 1-2 babies that will take 2 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

Dart frogs have 13 natural variants: ancon hill, pena blanca, Costa Rican green and black, turquoise and bronze, super blue, Panamanian blue and black, el oro, Hawaiian, El Cope, Panamanian green and bronze, Colombian yellow, Rio San Juan, and Nicaraguan green and black. These are in-game color variants of real subspecies.
