Imagine a larger internet network with 25 different network segments (subnets). What would the challenge be with using "static routes"?

Using static routes on a larger network with 25 segments would create a backlog of traffic since there would only be one set route for the data to travel on compared to dynamic routing, where information can change its path to the destination.
