Windows instructions - Mio-sha512/openstick-stuff GitHub Wiki
Step 1: Download Tools and firmware
Go to: https://github.com/Mio-sha512/openstick-stuff/releases
For this example, we will be flashing Debian so go ahead and download the miko_service_tool_pro.zip, 9008_driver.zip, and uz801_v2.1_debian.zip archives
Step 2: Install the 9008 driver
Extract the archive called 9008_driver.zip and run the executable within (you can alternatively also find a copy of the driver from other sources)
Once the installation is complete go ahead and restart your computer
Note: There will be a prompt if you want the wired or wireless version of the driver it does not matter what you select
Note: The driver seems to be broken on windows 11 so if you encounter any issues this may be the cause
Step 3: Install the Miko service tool
Go ahead and extract the miko_service_tool_pro.zip archive to where ever you prefer
After its completed you can run Loader.exe to start the program
Step 4: Boot the stick into EDL mode
On the uz801 stick to boot into the EDL from the stock firmware, you will need to short Data+ and Ground in the USB port
You will only need to short them shortly after boot (3-5 seconds)
After that, you should see a device called "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" in your device manager
Step 5: Backup the stock firmware (just in case)
Open the Miko service tool we installed earlier and go to the "Read" tab then click the "Partition Backup/erase"
After that click "Load Partition Structure" and if you get the layout then you can click the "Read Full Image" button
Then you just have to wait for a bit for it to finish
Step 6: Flash the new firmware
Go ahead and extract the uz801_v2.1_debian.zip archive
Then the Miko service tool and go to the "Flash" tab and then the "emmc block0 flasher" and select the .bin file you just extracted then click "Flash!"
After that process is done the stick should auto restart and you can now use adb shell to access debian and "ufi" to configure the wifi (translated from mandarin to the best of my ability)
