Custom Images for Text/Icon/Blank Panels

To display any JPG or PNG image of your choice as the background of a Text/Icon/Blank panel you must first add the image file to your SD card's WWW folder. You can do this manually, or via the DWC System's menu "upload system files" button (change to the file type to any). Images that you upload or manually copy to the SD card will not show in the normal listing of files - so you must remember the names of the images files you uploaded/copied.

When you add a Text/Icon/Blank panel, instead of entering an icon mdi-* name enter full file name of the image you wish to display. If you enter the file name correctly it should show a mini version of the image to the right of the file name.

If you add text to the panel it will overlay the image.

The image will scale to the size of the panel.

NOTE: Keep Image file sizes as small as possible. The image is directly loaded to the browser and is not optimised, so the smaller the better. Using multiple images will also add latency while the images are fetched from the SD card.
