Accessing the system with a browser - MikeBlyth/mission_database GitHub Wiki
If you have Internet access, this is the easiest way to use or manage the system. First, log in with your user name and password. With a valid login, you will be taken to the home view, which currently is just the list of members. Use the main menu (on the left hand side of the page, see below) to view families, groups, contacts, etc. Other tables such as locations and system settings can be accessed by users with appropriate permissions.
When you select one of the items to view (such as families), you will see the table (list) view for that kind of data, as in the example below. The sort indicator shows how the table is currently sorted. You can click on most of the column headings if you want to re-sort the data by that column.
In most cases, you will be able to add or edit some of the data just by clicking on it. For example, the screenshot below shows that the origin field can be edited this way.
When you click, a box opens up for you to make the changes. Click the update button after entering the data.

If the field is a yes/no one, like arrival in the example, you can just click on the box to check or uncheck it. When there is a set of choices, you will see a drop-down selection box to use.
