OpenXR ACC Tutorial created by Octavian Robu - MichealCanacari/AccVrGuide GitHub Wiki

Introduction

With similar specs as mentioned in the parent VR guide, with your config you should be able to run 90hz when not using steamvr. The OpenComposite app reroutes and modifies steamvr api calls to openxr api calls. Then, on top of that, you get the OpenXR Toolkit which allows the use of FSR with this mod (not the ingame FSR which for some reason seems to not work properly in VR). The result is 80-90 FPS, with 140% scaling in openxr dev tool, 80% fsr and 80-100% ingame resolution scaling (depending on conditions and number of cars to keep 90fps locked). 90fps locked even at race starts, and it looks amazing, No motion reprojection, no SteamVR issues, pure VR JOY

As you go through this guide please follow the below in order.

NVIDA Control Panel Settings

First, we are going to be updating some settings in Nvidia - Make sure you have NVIDIA Control Panel then: Open > Manage 3D Settings (located on the left, select a task links) > Program Settings > (Select a Program to customize) Assetto Corsa Competizione

OpenXR OpenComposite

Next, Download the OpenXR - Campbell Suter, navigate down the page to the "Downloading and installation" Section.

Run OpenComposite.exe. Click 'Switch to OpenComposite', and wait while the DLLs are downloaded. Games will now run via OpenComposite, rather than SteamVR.

To update OpenComposite, run OpenComposite.exe again. The text at the bottom of the window will indicate if an update is available, and if so an update button will appear. Click it and OpenComposite will be updated.

Install OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality

Go to the Microsoft store, search "OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality" and download. Change the following settings,

OpenXR Toolkit
