No power on the PS2:

On two feedbacks, the BlueRetro receiver did not work with the PS2 (slim). In these cases the receiver did not receive any power. The BlueRetro PS1/2 receiver is powered by the 8V line of the controller port. This 8V line is normally used for the controller's rumble motors and is protected with a fuse. It is possible that this fuse is blown when the BlueRetro is not receiving power. This can be easily tested by seeing if the rumble works with a wired controller. Or just measure it with a multimeter. There are many fuse diagrams for all PS2 motherboard versions on the internet. Find a suitable diagram, check the fuse and try to replace it.

PS1 random key presses:

Some users report a rather rare problem with random key presses on some PU-18 boards. The issue can be read in detail here:

I am not sure if it is a problem with a specific revision of the PU-18 motherboard or with a revision of the CPU. The main problem is probably disturbances in the 8V power line. However, the problem seems to be quite rare. For most users with a PU-18 board, the receiver works without problems. I also use a PU-18 board with ps1digital + xStation without any problems by myself. Maybe a 220uF capacitor directly on the 8V line of the controller port to GND could help. You can try it out. Otherwise the only option at the moment is to use another PU-18 motherboard.
