Frequently Asked Questions - Mesabrook-Development-Team/Immersibrook GitHub Wiki
Q: Why is it called Immersibrook?
A: Immersibrook is a contraction of the words Immersive and Mesabrook. It is a parody of the Immersive mod naming scheme that's become popular over the past few years (Immersive Engineering, Immersive Vehicles, etc).
Q: Will Immersibrook ever be made available on a platform like CurseForge?
A: No. Immersibrook is dependent on Mesabrook's ecosystem to function.
Q: Is Immersibrook open source?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I contribute to Immersibrook?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I use Immersibrook in my own modpack?
A: You can, but Immersibrook may not function properly due to it having certain Mesabrook-specific features.
Q: I want to use some Immersibrook's code for my own works. What branch do I pull from?
A: We strongly recommend pulling from the latest public release branch.
Q: If I use some of Immersibrook's code or assets, do I need to provide credit?
A: Immersibrook is open source, so no. But it would be appreciated if you did.
Q: Where did you find the various floor textures?
A: A lot of the floor textures were made in-house for use in Immersibrook. Others came from Google Images and are credited.
Q: Why does Immersibrook have ranged chat?
A: Mesabrook has a heavy emphasis on realism. You can't shout from your living room and have someone across the globe hear it without involving some kind of technology. Hence the ranged chat and smartphones.
Q: I found a bug, how do I report it?
A: Head over to the Issues page and open a ticket.
Q: Can I suggest new features for Immersibrook?
A: We're currently not taking suggestions. In the future, we will allow suggestions.
Q: Why are you doing pre-releases?
A: We've opted to run pre-release versions of The Technology Update on Mesabrook in order to gain access to useful and important features. Once all planned features have been implemented, Mesabrook will run 1.0.0 and development on the next major version will begin.
