Mod Introduction
Basic Information
Superb Warfare is a warfare mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, featuring dozens of guns, diverse heavy weapons and vehicles, and various combat equipment.
Development Background
In 2023, Minecraft released version 1.20.1, but there were no high-quality gun mods like TAC available. The lead developer initially created a prototype mod called target using MCR. Later, with the help of two programmers, the team abandoned MCR and switched to formal code development.
Why "Superb"?
One developer studied in a university's "卓越工程师班" (Superb Engineer Program), but the program's quality was ironically poor — most graduates couldn’t even unzip files after four years of Java training. As a self-deprecating joke about the mod’s origins, the team named it "Superb Warfare."
Mod Content
Ammo & Firearms
Ammo
Weapons require ammo stored as data on players. There are 5 basic ammo types:
- Handgun Ammo
- Rifle Ammo
- Sniper Ammo
- Shotgun Ammo
- Heavy Ammo
Right-click ammo items to replenish ammo. Creative players can use Creative Ammo Boxes (unlimited ammo when kept in inventory).
Ammo Boxes (Item):
- Craftable, reusable containers for storing ammo.
- Sneak + Left-click: Cycle ammo types (All → Handgun → Rifle → Sniper → Shotgun → Heavy).
- Sneak + Right-click: Store ammo. Right-click (non-sneak): Retrieve ammo.
- Death Drop: If enabled, a special ammo box drops on death (disappears after use).
- Craft with ammo items to store ammo items directly into the box. When ammo type is not All, you can take out ammos from the ammo box by crafting.
Other unique ammo types (e.g., Taser Electrodes, Javelin Missiles) are explained in later sections.
Guns
Crafting
All guns (except Homemade Shotgun) require Gun Blueprints found in loot chests. Blueprints have four rarity tiers:
- Common (White)
- Rare (Blue)
- Epic (Purple)
- Legendary (Orange)
Higher-tier blueprints are rarer. You can duplicate blueprints via crafting.
Crafting Process:
- Place a blueprint in a Smithing Table.
- Add a tier-matched Material Pack and crafting ingredient.

Vehicles
Most vehicles are stored in Containers. Use a Crowbar to deploy/retrieve them.
Most vehicles need power to work. Put down a Charge Station and then insert food or fuel, or just power the charge station with other mod's devices, then it will charge nearby vehicles.

On multi-seat vehicles, you can press num keys while sneaking to change your seat.
Weapons
When weapons are available on one seat, you can press num keys or scroll your mouse wheel to change your current weapon.
Different weapons need different ammos(except annihilator consumes FE energy). You need to put your ammo or your ammo box in the vehicle's inventory(or your own inventory if the vehicle doesn't have one), then your vehicle will recognize the ammo, and then you can fire your weapons.
You can also put a creative ammo box in YOUR inventory to provide infinity ammo.

- Durability drops on collisions (self-destructs at 0).
