The Gluon Gun, or Quantum Destabilizer, is an experimental energy-based weapon developed at the Black Mesa Research Facility. It fires a glowing beam of Gluon particles capable of vaporizing mostly anything it hits. The gun consists of a hand-held beam emitter attached by a thick cable to a backpack-mounted unit.
