HiveOS OC Tuning - MaynardMiner/SWARM GitHub Wiki
Using HiveOS Algorithm Profiles For OC
Requirements
(Note- These are HiveOS limitations, not SWARM limitations.)
- HiveOS Personal API-Token.
- Arguments -Type NVIDIA2,NVIDIA3 is not used.
- No OC profiles in SWARM is set.
- Cannot use -Type AMD1,NVIDIA2 together.
- SWARM can be only miner in use on worker.
The reason this is the case, is because only 1 algorithm can be set a time. The algorithm set is usually group 1 (AMD1 or NVIDIA1), but if you are using NVIDIA2 or NVIDIA3 or AMD1,NVIDIA2, it will set oc for ALL cards for the algorithm in group 1.
Setup
First you must generate an API key- On Website, navigate to:
Account > Authentication Tokens > Personal Tokens > Generate new Personal API-Token
After generating api key through HiveOS account settings- Place that copied key into an argument in SWARM
-API_Key [You API Generated Key]
Usage
Swarm will contact HiveOS if the algorithm set by HiveOS is not the algorithm it is switching to. If no algorithm is specified- SWARM will set HiveOS's oc profile to its default profile. SWARM will check oc logs for up to 15 seconds after sending oc change notification to HiveOS. If the logs have not changed- It gives up, and continues.
