MiSTer to MiST procedure
- Use the templates:
- CORE-template_poseidon-ep4cgx150.qsf
- CORE_top-template.sv
- files-template.qip
Steps to generate core_top.sv module
- The first thing to do is after adding comments to the HDMI stuff is to also put comments to hps_io.
- Disable anything hdmi related
- To get video signal check if there is a video mixer first on MiSTer core
- Whatever is in video mixer should usually go to mist_video
- Rename the clock: CLOCK_50 (poseidon MiST board) vs CLK_50M (MiSTer)
- The SDRAM_CLK assigned to negative clk signal.
- Move the proper signals on hps_io module call to user_io
- Adapt files.qip changing MiSTer to MiST framework modules (mist-modules)
// the top file should generate the correct clocks for the machine
`ifdef INVERT_SDRAM_CLOCK
assign SDRAM_CLK = ~clk_sys;
`else
assign SDRAM_CLK = clk_sys;
`endif
pll pll(
`ifdef CLOCK_IN_50
.inclk0 ( CLOCK_50 ),
`else
.inclk0 ( CLOCK_27 ),
`endif
.c0 ( clk_sys ),
.locked ( pll_ready ) // pll locked output
);
NOTES:
- If still you don't get a video it has to be either a RAM issue or it needs some adjustments to get the proper VSync and/or HSync.
- If it is a RAM issue... good luck then that's my todo list most of the times.
MiST Modules

- scandoubler.v
- data_io.v
