Power
All the parts in the gun need power to work. Wall power is not really an option so battery's it is then. But there several battery types that can be used all whit their own pros and cons.
Battery types
Lipo
Lipo or lithium-ion polymer is a battery type that gets used I drones and airsoft.
Pros
- A lot of divergent size and capacity options
- High current draw
Cons
- Need a special balance charger
- Can be dangerous
Lithium (best one)
Lithium is one of the most popular options. The most common Lithium cell is the 18650 this cell has a capacity between 10000 and 30000 mAh.
Pros
- High energy density
- Precise chare and discharge requirements
- Requires a BMS
Cons
- Somewhat expensive
- Require special chargers
- Can be dangerous
NiMH
NiMH battery are most commonly found in AA or AAA format. There are easy to find in also any store. The capacity is no the biggest but for it size it packs a lot of mAh
Pros
- High Energy Density
- Compatibility
- They Are Safer
Cons
- High Self Discharge Rate
- Unreliable for Low Load Devices
- Low Voltage Output
- Long charging Time
- Cannot Operate at Extreme Temperature
Battery charging
BMS
A BMS or Battery Management System can help with protecting your battery’s from over charging and discharging. There are also some than can help with balance charging al the individual cells.
Power supply
The requirements for your oversupply depend on the needs you have. What charging voltage and current do you need. This depends on your battery type and how quick you want your gun to charge
What capacity do I need?
That really depends how long do you want to play whiteout recharging, how many space do you have in your gun and how many weight you want to carry in your gun.
