This manual covers the setup of UI24R Bridge with X-Touch with Mackie Control protocol.

Hardware connection

• Connect the X-Touch to computer via USB cable
• Connect computer to the UI24R via Ethernet network or WiFi network as normal
• Ensure normal connection to UI24R via web browser and note the UI24R IP address
  • Default UI24R IP address over WiFi is 10.10.1.1
  • Default UI24R IP address over Ethernet is 10.10.2.1
  • You can check the address when connected to the UI24R in Settings -> Network section

Set X-Touch to Mackie Control protocol

• Press and hold the Channel 1 SELECT button while powering on the device
• Rotate encoder 1 to select the MC (Mackie Constrol) as operation mode
• Rotate encoder 2 to select the USB as the connection type
• (optional) Rotate encoder 8 to adjust the display contrast
• Press the Channel 1 SELECT button to save and continue

Bridge setup and configuration

• Download the latest release from the github
• Edit appsettings.json file
  • Set UI24R-Url to the IP address of your UI24R
  • Ensure MIDI-Input-Name and MIDI-Output-Name is set to X-Touch
  • Ensure Protocol is set to MC
  • (optional) Set SyncID to the same Sync ID as your computer to synchronise the Select function between X-Touch and your computer
  • (optional) Update rest of the setting. Detailed explanation is on the repo home page
• Start the Bridge application
