Ingredients:
- 1 can Sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained, 14 oz.
- 1 pkg. Smoked sausage, cut into chunks, 16 oz.
- 2 medium Apples, Granny Smith, peeled and cut into eighths
- 4 medium. Gold Yukon potatoes, cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. Caraway seeds, optional
- 1/8 tsp. Pepper
- 3/4 cup Apple juice or Grapefruit juice
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
Directions:
Place half of the sauerkraut in an untreated 3 quart slow cooker. Top with sausage, apples, potatoes, brown sugar, caraway seeds if desired and pepper. Top with remaining sauerkraut. Pour apple juice over all. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until apples and potatoes are tender. 4 servings.
