Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Creamy Garlic Sauce - MatthewFloyd/Cookbook GitHub Wiki
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 2 Chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced lengthwise
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp. Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. Onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Black pepper
- 2 T+ Olive oil
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
- 3 T Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
For the Chicken:
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Coat each chicken breast evenly in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens slightly (about 3–5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy garlic sauce over the top. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 2–3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
