Enchantments and Other Villager Trades
NB Villager trading changed dramatically in 1.14 (April/May 2019). Old villagers retain their trades, and do not always lock trades, but do sometimes despawn. Deadsville is a good bet for new villagers with good deals, including Mending and Looting III, but see also the Rainbow Semisubmersible Trading Hall (Nov 2019), and the Enchantment Hall (in the marshes N of the Brickworks, Aug 2023) which had a librarian selling every possible enchantment at max level (Jul 2024: but only Density III and Breach IV for now).
When trading with villagers for enchantments, if you take the last one and the trade locks, please unlock it again (by making enough other trades with the villager). [As of 1.14, villagers have to visit their own workstation to unlock their trades, which they do up to twice per Minecraft day.]
- Various enchantments - The Bookshop sells enchantment books, only open during daytime. In Squaresville at end of the overworld railway. (Not being actively stocked as of 2022)
- Various enchantments and villager trades
including Mending- MAMP's Undercroft of The Secret Smiley (downstairs from his base). Many Villager trades, includingMending, Fortune II, Looting II, Frostwalker I, Infinity, Unbreaking II, Respiration II, Aqua Affinity. Also priests, farmers for rotten flesh and crops to emeralds. And smiths for various enchanted diamond tools, weapons, armour. - Silk Touch - Rainbow Castle 13 emeralds, in main level 0 corridor between North West Tower and Central Tower.
- Looting III - Nether roof 43 emeralds + book, on roof above the nether (jump off XP Farm cart just after going through nether roof)
- Many enchantments and villager trades - Lair de Trousers many excellent books but entry is through a secret puzzle entrance. Fun to open.
- Various enchantments and villager trades - Rainbow Semisubmersible Trading Hall. Nether portal on the far end of the other rainbow ones from the hub. Wide range of villager trades, particularly enchantments.
- Bulk villager trades - Void Trading system. Good for obtaining villager trades in bulk without them locking. Go to The End, turn right as you climb out of the obsidian spawning pad or follow the soul sand path to the bubble column. Instructions on the lectern underneath the platform on the far side. [Nerfed in 1.21 as of July 2024]
- All enchantments - Enchantment Hall. Contains one cleric villager selling an enchanted book with the max level of every enchantment in the game, in alphabetical order (as of Aug 2023), apart from the two Mace enchantments where we only have the next-from-top (as of July 2024). Big bamboo build in the marshes N of the Brickworks.
- Diamond gear - Bamboo building next to the Enchantment Hall. There's a villager trading every sort of diamond gear obtainable by trading. DgC has maxed them out with the old stacking zombie discount, but that only works for the player that cured them (i.e. DgC) and has now been nerfed as a mechanism entirely.
- Mason enchantments - Brickworks. There's a shed full of mason villagers and a long lineup of them in individual cells, in case you need bricks, quartz blocks, or anything else sold by masons.
