Installing SQL 4 CDS in XrmToolBox

You can install SQL 4 CDS from the XrmToolBox tool library. Please ensure you have the latest version of XrmToolBox installed.

1. In XrmToolBox, click the "Configuration" toolbar button
2. Click "Tool Library"
3. Search for "SQL 4 CDS" and select it from the list
4. Click "Install"

Once installed, open SQL 4 CDS from the Tools tab.

Installing SQL 4 CDS in SSMS

If you have the TDS Endpoint enabled, you can connect to your instance using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). You can also install the SQL 4 CDS plugin to expand the range of SQL queries you can execute.

You should already have the latest version of SSMS installed.

On the Releases page, download and run the MarkMpn.Sql4Cds.SSMS.Setup.msi installer.

You may receive a warning saying "Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app" - click "More info" then "Run anyway".
