Model Editing - MapStudioProject/CTR-Studio GitHub Wiki
Model Importing
First open your .bcres/.bcmdl/.bch file.
Then expand the Models folder.
Right click the model you want to edit. You can Export the model to edit in blender, 3ds max, or another tool as .dae.
It is suggested you convert this to .fbx if blender is used to keep shading.
You will want to do this to size your custom model to the one you are replacing.
When you are finished making edits, export your model as .dae. The program does support .fbx but support for it can vary.
Click Replace for replacing the model.
The default settings are fine to use. Make sure Pokemon ORAS/XY is used if the import is for those games else it will lack shading.
Now your model is imported, you can configure the materials.
Model UI
Models also have UI to configure visibilty, render layer, and mesh order.
Model Transform
Configures the model transform. Not all games may use this. Do not use this to scale skinned models to fit the skeleton, it scales that aswell.
Mesh List
Here you can drag the meshes in the list and reorder them. There is a toggle for visibility, the layer to determine what layer to draw in, and priorty for the render order.
Translucent objects should be in the translucent layer.
