Back to Switch Stands

Hand-throw stands are commonly found in yards, sidings, service tracks, and even mainlines when the cost of installing remote-controlled power switch machines can't be justified.

Bethlehem Steel 51A

These switch stands are named _left and _right depending on which way the switch will go when thrown to the Reverse position. In Hammer, the Top-Down 2D view should show a small chevron that indicates the throw direction.

These switch stands are identical to the Bethlehem Steel 51A above, except that the lever bodygroup is replaced with a hook and chain.
