U18B - MagnumMacKivler/RLCPT2 GitHub Wiki
The GE U18B is a light 4 axle engine powered by a V8 FDL engine (the only V8 from GE to be produced for the North American market)
Only 165 were ever made, with Seaboard Coast Line having 105 of those units, and NdeM having 45 others. Often these locomotives were underpowered with 1800hp, and did not do well mechanically (compounded with specialized parts for a V8 prime mover)
General Electric offered a B18-7 in literature, but it was not purchased by any railroad.

⚠: Not Verified or Educated Guess
(1): The FB-2 became available after 1971; the FB-2 provides better adhesion at 29%. This unit was also available with EMD trade in Blomberg B trucks, which have 25% adhesion
(2): The GTA-11 was offered later upon introduction in 1970, replacing the GT-581; it was made standard in 1973. Generator amps increases to 5400 and transition changes to 2,1 and 1,1.
(3): All U18Bs were made at 219,000lbs from research.
