HR406 drawing Trainiax-esque drawing of the HR-406 based on its spec book illustration

Designed as the switcher component of the HRC line, the HR-406 was to be, conceptually, an updated S-13 on Zero Weight Transfer trucks. As with other HRC line locomotives (as originally designed), the HR-406 shared much in common with the MX series aesthetically, mostly in terms of hood construction and mechanical layout (some features also seem to stem from the original M-420TR design, specifically the electrical cabinet). Unlike other members of the line, however, none were ever built, and all there is to show for the HR-406 is drawings and sales literature, leaving it all but lost in history. Thankfully, though, due to the existence of said drawings and literature, combined with the similarities to the MX series, we are able to piece together what the HR-406 could have actually looked like, and how it would have performed.
