Following the Love Live! finals, Mira-Cra Park! are the most motivated they’ve ever been. However, when an unexpected conflict over their plan of action ends up involving the whole club…
Kozue:
One, two, three, four. Five, six, seven, eight.
Kozue:
Phew. How was that compared to the earlier one?
Sayaka:
Yes, I think that should be much more consistent. I think the problem was most likely with our positioning.
I’m not quite sure what yet, but what if we added in just a little bit of other choreo?
Kozue:
True, we would gradually desync ourselves from the music at this pace… Why don’t we try syncing up with the music here?
Sayaka:
Oh, great idea. I think that would be a very elegant solution. Let’s do it.
Sayaka & Kozue:
One, two, three, four…
Kozue:
I believe that was a splendid application. Excellent suggestion, Sayaka-san.
Sayaka:
No, this was only an extension of your idea, Kozue-senpai. With that, I believe this should go swimmingly.
Kozue:
As this was quite the deviation from the norm, are you a little unsatisfied?
Sayaka:
Oh, no… actually…
Kozue:
Shall we take a short break?
Sayaka:
Ah, this black tea is very delicious.
Kozue:
This was from last spring.
As the leaves age, they take on different characteristics from freshly harvested ones. Now it has quite the mellow flavor profile, wouldn’t you agree?
Sayaka:
This has been a very insightful experience!
Kozue:
Hmhm. As the seasons change, so too does its flavor. And if stored properly, its aroma will not fade.
Just as the tea leaves mature into a pleasant, yet different flavor… it seems we’ve changed very much ourselves.
Sayaka:
Us as well?
Kozue:
Last spring, the earlier practice session would have been plenty satisfying.
We posed a question, and found its solution. Following that, we only had to practice. Wouldn’t you agree, Sayaka-san?
Sayaka:
Ah… True. All I would have wanted was that solution.
Kozue:
As for whether we made the correct decisions last year, at present I’m not sure if I can say. What I am certain of is that our flavor profile is much different this year.
Kozue:
That desire for brilliance… is one that you cannot obtain on your own.
Sayaka:
You could say… I want to blossom.
Kozue:
Hmhm~.
Sayaka:
Hmhm.
Kozue:
This is quite the conundrum. We know the cause, but the solution would be–
Rurino:
Wow~! Looks like you two are having a real refined tea party here!
Tsuzuri:
Looks nice.
Sayaka:
Ah, Tsuzuri-senpai, Rurino-san. Are you two on break as well?
Rurino:
Huh? No, this isn’t a break, it’s actually…
Tsuzuri:
Scouting.
Kozue:
Oh, my. In that case, why don’t you two scout this new flavored tea?
Rurino:
Huh?
Rurino:
What is this!? It’s so good! Who woulda known you could have tea this sweet without syrup!?
Tsuzuri:
More.
Kozue:
…I’m glad it’s to your liking.
Sayaka:
We have teacakes as well.
Rurino:
Whoa, sweets with more sweets! That’s sweet! Thanks, Sayaka-chan! Didn’t know you could make sweets, too!
Sayaka:
No problem. Thanks to Kozue-senpai’s teachings, I’ve been learning how to make sweets as well every day.
Tsuzuri:
So tasty, Saya.
Sayaka:
You’re still saying that like I’m the food here…
Kozue:
Hmhm. It seems this has become more of a sweets party than a tea party.
Rurino:
But the sweets parties I know of don’t have such luxury sweets!
Sayaka:
I’m sure a sweets party organized by you would be very lively.
Rurino:
Maybe so! Everyone’d have a great time getting hyped up–
Rurino:
…Ah… I guess that would be a natural assumption, huh?
Sayaka & Kozue:
Hm?
Rurino:
Nah, it’s just… Do you think that getting everyone hyped up like, “Yeah!” is really the right way to do it? Or something like that?
Sayaka:
Right way…?
Kozue:
…I don’t think I’m the right type of person for a “Yeah!”.
Sayaka:
Hmhm, but it sounds cute coming from you, Kozue-senpai.
Tsuzuri:
You’re cute, Kozu.
Kozue:
…That’s not the point here.
I’ve been wondering this since you proposed the subunit shuffle, but are you unsure what you will be doing, Rurino-san?
Rurino:
Ah… um…
Kozue:
I’m sorry. Before we go any further, I don’t know what the right answer is, either.
Rurino:
I thought so… My bad, too. My wording wasn’t really the best.
…I don’t think that what we’ve been doing is exactly wrong, but I don’t think it’s the only right way to do it, either.
Sayaka:
You’ve changed a lot in this past half-year, huh?
Rurino:
Maybe. I’d say it was performing at Love Live! that made me really start thinking a lot more.
Back then, I felt like I didn’t want anyone to come out feeling bad, but now I’m thinking more that I want everyone to have fun.
Kozue:
In that case, there’s really only one thing I have to say. Without any doubt, those feelings are not wrong.
Rurino:
!
Sayaka:
Hmhm, yes. However… just because they aren’t wrong doesn’t make them completely right either.
Pushing forward while believing you aren’t wrong is the most difficult part.
Rurino:
…Pushing forward… and believing… huh…
Tsuzuri:
You two are amazing. You still might end up being wrong, though.
Sayaka:
Maybe so. I think it’s because I had the chance to understand what it is I needed to achieve my own goals…
Although… I might have cheated in that regard…
Tsuzuri:
You didn’t cheat, though?
Sayaka:
A chance encounter is most certainly cheating.
Tsuzuri:
You were looking for it, so it isn’t?
Sayaka:
Geez…
Rurino:
If you look for it… it isn’t cheating…
Kozue:
Rurino-san?
Rurino:
I think I got it!
Rurino:
This whole scouting mission… This was all because I needed something to not bore Tsuzuri-senpai. That’s all I thought about.
Tsuzuri:
…
Rurino:
But that’s why it looked like I was still figuring it out to you, right, Tsuzuri-senpai?
Tsuzuri:
I mean… you were trying to figure out a way I could have fun, right?
Rurino:
!!! I see!
Sayaka:
…I don’t… quite understand. But I’m sure Tsuzuri-senpai can help you, Rurino-san.
Tsuzuri:
I try. Looks like you found something, so let’s go!
Rurino:
Yeah! Alright, I’m heading out! Seeya!
Kozue:
Now… how will Megumi take this, I wonder?
Sayaka:
I hope they can make up… Hmhm.
Kozue:
Sayaka-san?
Sayaka:
Oh, nothing. It seems that we end up thinking about our fellow club members often. Myself, and you as well, Kozue-senpai.
Kozue:
It seems some flavors truly never change.
