Kaho:
…I have to do this! Excuse me~!

Kaho:
Good afternoon! I’ve come here with a proposal! I request that the number of weekly shuttle buses to Kanazawa Station be increased, so that the students can more freely leave the school! If possible, I want one everyday!

Kaho:
Huh? For what purpose…!? Because that would definitely be more fun!

Ena:
So I heard you were kicked out of the student council room?

Biwako:
Your request was too unreasonable, Kaho-chan…

Kaho:
But it would be fun…

Shiina:
Hey now, it’s alright. There’s fun things to do here at Hasunosora too.

Kaho:
…Like what?

Ena:
Learning.

Biwako:
Homework.

Shiina:
Independent study…I guess.

Kaho:
Those are all the same thing! Maaaan! I wanted to go buy sweets after class, or go sing at karaoke on the way back from school, or go window shopping with friends!

Ena:
I guess it would be nice to have those options nearby.

Biwako:
But we’re in the mountains…

Shiina:
I’ve already given up on that. I’m just gonna live my life and not expect anything better.

Kaho:
That’s it!

Shiina:
Huh…? You’re giving up?

Kaho:
No, not that! I agree, it would be nice if those options were nearby!

Kaho:
Done…!

Ena:
You’re done with what, exactly?

Kaho:
Hehehehe… I figured, we just need to invite them over here!

Biwako:
I-invite…?

Kaho:
Yeah! I’m gonna invite a bunch of stores around the school and have them build a big shopping mall nearby! If a bunch of students say it’ll be convenient, I’m sure the people in charge’ll give us the OK! After all, we’ve got hundreds of students here!

Kaho:
…Or not?

Ena:
I-it’s a pretty good idea…

Biwako:
Yeah! If that happens, I’m sure that we’d have a lot more fun! Probably!

Shiina:
I mean, even if they started construction right now, there’s no way they could finish a shopping mall in three years…

Kaho:
So that’s a no, then…

Ena:
Seeing Kaho-chan concentrate really hard like this is kinda fun.

Biwako:
I kinda get that.

Kaho:
Hm… I really wanted to go to this school…

Kozue:
It’s a wonderful school, isn’t it?

Kaho:
K-Kozue-senpai! W-what brings you here!?

Kozue:
Good afternoon, Hinoshita-san. I know this is sudden, but regarding the assistance I requested the other day, would today work for you?

Kaho:
I-I can do today.

Kozue:
Very good. Alright, everyone, I’ll be borrowing Hinoshita-san for a while.

Kaho:
See ya!

Ena:
Oh, okay. See you.

Biwako:
That really pretty girl isn’t a first-year, right?

Shiina:
I… think so.

Ena:
What’s Kaho-chan doing with her, I wonder…

Kozue:
Hinoshita-san, I apologize for interrupting your conversation with your friends.

Kaho:
Ah, it’s fine, don’t worry about it. How do I… you’re kinda helping me get away from things.

Kozue:
Oh? Is there something troubling you?

Kaho:
Huh!? W-well… Um, actually…

Kaho:
The thing is… One of the girls in my class is thinking of withdrawing– Er, well, it looks like she is.

Kozue:
Oh, really? What makes you think so?

Kaho:
Um… well, it seems like her expectations when she enrolled turned out to be far from what the school is actually like. And I heard she’s been looking at pamphlets for other schools…

Kozue:
To be fair, this school can be quite a strict environment for a girl your age to spend three years in. I can understand how your classmate is feeling.

Kaho:
Y-yeah, right…?

Kozue:
I wonder what kind of school this girl was looking to attend.

Kaho:
“What kind of school”, huh… I think, “what kind of experience was she looking for”, would be a better question.

Kaho:
Something like, really colorful, shining days, surrounded by friends, and spending time having fun…

Kozue:
And Hasunosora wouldn’t fit what this girl wants, hm?

Kozue:
In that case, how does this sound? Why don’t you try making this school fun for her, Hinoshita-san?

Kaho:
Huh, make this school fun for her!? T-there’s no way!

Kozue:
What’s wrong? I think that it might surprise you how much your feelings of love can convey to other people.

Kaho:
My feelings of love… I mean… It is true that your live show was really fun, but…

Kozue:
And… there. Oh, go ahead and put those down around there.

Kaho:
What are you gonna be using these for?

Kozue:
We’re preparing those for the stage for our next performance.

Kaho:
Huh, school idols have to think that far ahead!?

Kozue:
Of course. We don’t just think of our singing and dancing, but of everything around us. For example, we might want to invite new students into the club. Although there may be many people who come to watch our shows, surprisingly, there are few students willing to take that first step.

Kozue:
Your friend, Murano Sayaka-san, did well leaping in. All that’s left is to see how well she works with Tsuzuri… Ah, just talking to myself.

Kaho:
I agree, Sayaka-chan was amazing back then.

Kozue:
Do you feel as if she’s a step ahead of you?

Kaho:
N-no, I don’t… think so, probably…

Kozue:
Hmhm, my apologies. I seem to have said something strange. Anyway, next week we’re planning to hold a live show at the school welcoming party, and I’m more excited about it than usual. Since you’re helping me with it, Hinoshita-san, I want to make this a big, big success!

Kaho:
I-It’s not that big a deal. It’s just because you’re in the middle of starting something new.

Kozue:
Maybe, but I’m still happy. I want to show something really nice to you. And of course, to that girl you mentioned earlier.

Kaho:
Of course. Um, I want to help you, as much as I can!

Kozue:
I appreciate the help. It’s almost like you’re the School Idol Club’s manager~.

Kaho:
Then that’s what I’ll be!

Kozue:
Hmhm, in that case, for the time being, we’ll be in your care.

Kaho:
…Yeah!

Kaho:
Senpai’s blossomed beautifully… So I…!

Kaho:
Ah… I still don’t know how to feel about the iron bars over the dorm windows, but at least the bath feels really nice…

Sayaka:
I agree… Though, I’m still not quite used to this…

Sayaka:
So I heard you’ve become the School Idol Club’s manager?

Kaho:
Oh, yeah. Well, it’s only until next week, since I hear there’s a big live show then. What do you think of the School Idol Club, Sayaka-chan?

Sayaka:
I’ve been very satisfied. It’s been a big source of motivation for me every day since I joined.

Kaho:
Oh, nice, Sayaka-chan!

Sayaka:
But, well… I actually wasn’t planning on joining any clubs.

Kaho:
Oh, really? You seemed really interested when we looked at all the clubs the other day.

Sayaka:
W-well, I was trying to cheer you up… So I decided I should act that way…

Kaho:
I see. Sorry for making you worry about me…

Sayaka:
No, it’s fine. I’m glad you seem happier now. Besides, I had a wonderful encounter because of that.

Kaho:
With Tsuzuri-senpai, right?

Sayaka:
Yes. After you left… I saw Yugiri-senpai performing. Seeing her move so freely, like nothing was weighing her down… It really left an impression on me.

Sayaka:

Sayaka:
I’ve been a figure skater since I was young. Because I’ve lived in a similar world of artistic expression, I really understand how incredible Yugiri-senpai is.

Kaho:
Um, figure skating is that sport where you have to dance while sliding around, right?

Sayaka:
Yes. That being said…

Kaho:
I wanna hear more about you, Sayaka-chan.

Sayaka:
…I don’t think it’s a very interesting story though.

Kaho:
I think it’s always fun listening to stories from friends! Ah, when I say fun, I don’t mean like I’m laughing at you!

Sayaka:
It’s alright, Kaho-san, I get it. Whenever I talk to you, I get roped into your conversations.

Kaho:
I don’t think it’s like that, though…

Sayaka:
It is too. Ever since we first met.

Sayaka:
I’ve always been a figure skater, but I feel like I’ve hit a wall in my progress. I’m not sure how I can improve right now.

Kaho:
Improve…

Sayaka:
Yes. The judges would tell me I was lacking in “expressiveness”. No matter how many times I’ve thought about it, though, I could never seem to grasp that. That’s why I came to Hasunosora. I thought that since Hasunosora was a famous school for the arts, maybe… I could find something that would lead me in the right direction here. …And that’s when I met her.

Kaho:
By her, you must mean…?

Sayaka:
Yes. Yugiri-senpai’s singing and dancing was different from the ideal I’d imagined… It was even more incredible. That’s why I decided to join the School Idol Club. To get closer to that ideal… To rise higher than the me from yesterday, even if only by a little.

Kaho:
I see… That’s amazing, Sayaka-chan.

Sayaka:
Without you, I wouldn’t have met Yugiri-senpai. Fate sure works in mysterious ways.

Kaho:
Huh!? So then it’s all because of me!

Sayaka:
Hmhm. I think so, at least.

Sayaka:
Kaho-san, you said this before, right? That you wanted to “blossom” at this school.

Kaho:
Oh, yeah. I did. That’s why I…

Sayaka:
Then, can’t you do that as a school idol?

Kaho:
Huh…?

Sayaka:
Don’t you think that if you became a school idol, surely fun days would be ahead of you?

Kaho:
I… But, I… I’ve never been a school idol… I don’t even know a thing about them…

Sayaka:
I’m the same as you. Even just thinking about singing in front of a crowd makes me so nervous. But even so, I think that it would really suit you. That might be a bit presumptuous of me, though…

Kaho:

Kaho:
Sorry, Sayaka-chan.

Sayaka:
Oh, no, I should be the one saying that! I only assumed you’d have fun, so I invited you without considering how you feel. I just thought that… maybe doing it together would be more fun.

Kaho:
Ahaha… Thanks, Sayaka-chan. I’m also very glad that we’ve become friends.

Sayaka:
I’m glad to hear that.

Kaho:
… Really though, thank you for inviting me.
