🌼🎀Idol Story Activity & Comment Policy🎀🌼

To maintain Idol Story as an all-inclusive, friendly and safe place for Love Live! fans, we ask that you abide by these rules when posting Activities and comments. These rules are both for user guidance and for staff to use in their moderation of Activities and comments. In the case that an offense falls into multiple categories, the incident will fall under whichever category has a more severe punishment.

In short, we ask you not post pornographic (and other NSFW) photos and text, threaten or display violence in any matter, use excessive explicit language, communicate about illegal drug usage or display any personal information that would incriminate you.

Rudeness & Harassment

The terms ‘rudeness’ and ‘harassment’ will be defined as such:

• Rudeness: Disrespect and/or foul language in regards to another user.
• Harassment: Creation of an unpleasant or hostile situation for others, especially by uninvited and unwelcome conduct (feat. Merriam-Webster Dictionary).

Rudeness will be warned, and offending users will be expected to apologize. Harassment, on the other hand, will not be tolerated. When dealing with harassment, much will be left to staff discretion. This includes the following:

• If a user asks you to stop doing something, and you continue to do it, that is considered harassment. Of course, this is provided that they asked you to stop doing something, and it is within reasonable bounds.
• Asking another user to stop flaming somebody’s best girl is an appropriate request. However, asking them to stop promoting their own best girl (provided they don’t slander others) is not; they are merely expressing their own opinions about their best girl.
• Any attempts to put another user down will be considered harassment, and immediate disciplinary action will be taken. Staff members reserve the right to delete posts and accounts, as well as apply any other applicable punishments towards such users without warning when it comes to harassment.
• All of the above applies to mods as well. Disrespecting or harassing us will be treated just like it would with any other user, and you will be punished accordingly. Conversely, these rules also apply to the mods themselves. Please report such behaviour through the report system.
• Racism, hate speech, and other such actions are inexcusable, and the user will have their accounts removed until a resolution is reached.
• If you witness any bullying or users threatening real-harm, report the behaviour ASAP and send a direct message on Twitter so that we can take action quickly.

"Discourse" Posting

We will consider "discourse posting" as a part of harassment/rudeness at varying degrees. The term “discourse” will be defined as:

• Intentionally posting memes/images/text to upset a significant or particular part of the fanbase and/or individual site users.
• Harmful "unpopular opinion" posts. (Example: "Unpopular Opinion but Honoka is a sh*tty character!" -- No basis or intelligible discussion)
• Discussion that leads to no conclusion and ends up in hate-posts toward characters or individual users because of said discussion.
• Debate on sexual intention/sexualization of characters in official art, fan works, etc.

Spam & Multiposting

The term “spam” will be defined as:

• Excessive copypasta, emoting, advertising, and random lines of text.
• Repetitive text without any real content/context.
• Posts which include unreasonable usage of text font edits (i.e: a whole post using large text just to be seen).
• Repetitive image posting with no context.

In general, offenders will at first be warned and staff will delete any activity with spam without discrimination. Further offenses will be applicable to account restriction.

Advertising & Promoting

Besides promoting and sharing posts related to Love Live! from social media, advertising and promoting groups, organizations, and unsolicited offers is prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Links to Facebook groups
• Links to Discord servers
• Unsolicited offers and proposals (asking users to click an outgoing link for your gain and the like)

Any post that is seen to be advertising a group/organization not authorized or partnered with Idol Story to gain attention and traction will be deleted followed by a warning. Making similar posts several times, commenting your advertisement under posts/profiles, bumping the post through liking or editing and the like will be eligible for account restriction. Please report any shady outgoing links you believe we should check out.

Regarding Artwork

All artwork not made by yourself MUST be correctly sourced to the original artist. We have a Zero Tolerance policy for unsourced and stolen artwork. If you use official Love Live! images, however, the credit is not necessary as it is pulled from official depots. If you want to advertise commissions for your own artwork, be sure to link all information about exchanging money or goods off of the site. This also applies to handmade content and cosplay. Do NOT post cosplay that isn’t yours unless authorized.

Transactions

Commercial transactions are prohibited anywhere on the site. Users are expected to take this off-site and not involve the Idol Story site with their dealings. This is defined as the selling and/or trading of goods and services. Users will have their Activity/comment deleted and will receive the standard message from our system as a reminder. Consistent commercial posts will result in account restriction. It is OK for you to redirect someone if they ask where to purchase official merchandised goods that support the Love Live! franchise. It is also OK to post about upcoming goods and discussing splitting or purchasing, as long as the arrangements are made off of the site.
