Rules on Posting Activities - MagiCircles/BanGDream GitHub Wiki

Welcome to Bandori.Party! With the launch of activities, we have decided to implement a terms of usage. This is both for the user of the website's guidance, and for staff to use in their moderation. In the case that an offense falls into multiple categories, the incident will fall under whichever category has a more severe punishment.

In short, we ask you not post pornographic images, threaten or display violence in any matter of way, communicate about illegal drug usage within the site or display personal information that would incriminate you, and the excessive use of explicit language. These are all general offenses and should be no-brainers, but we wanted to cover it anyway to make sure you're aware.

Rudeness & Harassment

What is rudeness and harassment?

On this site, the terms ‘rudeness’ and ‘harassment’ will be defined as such:

  • Rudeness: Disrespect and/or foul language in regards to another user.
  • Harassment: To create an unpleasant or hostile situation for others especially by uninvited and unwelcome conduct (feat. Merriam-Webster Dictionary), i.e. putting somebody down, or doing something beyond what others are comfortable with.

What actions will mods take against these issues?

Rudeness will only be warned, and users are expected to apologize. However, there is a VERY fine line between rudeness and harassment.Harassment, on the other hand, will not be tolerated. When dealing with harassment, much will be left to staff discretion. This includes the following:

  • If a user asks you to stop something, and you continue to do it, that is considered harassment. Of course, this is provided that they asked you to stop something, and it is within reasonable bounds.
  • Asking another user to stop flaming somebody’s best girl is an appropriate request. However, asking them to stop promoting their own best girl (provided they don’t slander others) is not - they are merely expressing their own opinions about their best girl.
  • Any attempts to put another user down will be considered harassment, and immediate disciplinary action will be taken. Staff members reserve the right to delete posts and accounts, as well as apply any other applicable punishments towards such users without warning when it comes to harassment.
  • All of the above applies to mods as well. Disrespecting or harassing us will be treated just like it would with any other user, and you will be punished accordingly. Conversely, these rules also apply to the mods themselves. Please report such behaviour through the report system.
  • Racism, hate speech, and other such actions are inexcusable, and the user will have their accounts removed until a resolution is reached.
  • Even if you are not involved and see any bullying or users threatening real-harm, report the behaviour ASAP and send a DM on Twitter so that we can take action quickly.

"Discourse" Posting

We will consider "discourse posting" as apart of harassment/rudeness at varying degrees. From overseeing our sister sites, we thought it best to nip this problematic and upsetting vernacular in the bud. On this site, the term 'discourse' will be defined as the following:

  • Intentionally posting memes/images/text to upset a significant or particular part of the fanbase.
  • Harmful "unpopular opinion" posts. (Example: "Unpopular Opinion but Lisa is a sh*tty character!" -- No basis or intelligible discussion)
  • Discussion that leads to no conclusion and ends up in hate-posts toward characters or individual users because of said discussion.
  • Debate on sexual intention/sexualization of characters in official art, fan works, etc.

Spam & Multiposting

For this site, the term “spam” will be defined as:

  • Excessive copypasta, emoting, advertising, and random lines of text.
  • Repetitive posting without any real content.
  • Repetitive image posting with no context.

In general, offenders will at first be warned and staff will delete any activity with spam without discrimination. Further offences will be applicable to account restriction.

Regarding Artwork

All artwork not made by yourself must be correctly sourced to the original artist. We have a zero tolerance policy for unsourced and stolen artwork. This does not apply to official BanG Dream! images as they are pulled from official sources.

Examples of unsourced artwork include:

  • Any type of fanart (irregardless of whether it is BanG Dream!-related) that do not contain a link to either the original artist or a post by the artist within the activity post;
  • Any unsourced fanart drawn by Osamu Nobusawa/Canvas2929 which has only been uploaded to his Twitter account, @Canvas2929, and not retweeted or reposted by the official BanG Dream! social media accounts;
  • Any content made using Picrew that does not link back to the original Picrew used within the activity post; and
  • Any AI-generated art. This is a Circles-wide policy.

If you wish to advertise commissions for your work, all information regarding exchanging money or goods must be linked off-site.

Transactions

Commercial transactions are prohibited anywhere on the site. Users are expected to take this off-site and not involve the Bandori.Party site with their dealings. This is defined as selling, and/or trading of goods and services. Users will have their activity deleted and will receive the standard message from our system as a reminder. Consistent commercial posts will result in account restriction. It is OK for you to redirect someone if they ask where to purchase official merchandised goods that support the BanG Dream! Franchise. It is also okay to post about the upcoming goods and discussing splitting or purchasing, as long as the arrangements are made off of the site.

The exchange of accounts is strictly prohibited. This is against Bandori’s Terms of Service (along with most games in general), and as such, will not be tolerated. You can ask for help in these matters or make suggestions, but all specifics must be done outside.
