What are Cards?
In short, cards are the units that support you during lives. However, there are lots of components and activities revolving around cards.

Practicing
As shown up above, cards have levels which effect their stats. Increasing their stats makes them more powerful, so naturally you'd want to level them up, right? To get started on leveling up cards, you must first visit the Practice submenu from the Band menu. From there, you'll be met with a list of cards you can practice!
To practice a card, you must have practice tickets available (Check out the item list to find out how to obtain them). By clicking the red button presented at the bottom right, the card will use the tickets, making them disappear from your inventory, and increasing their EXP!
Depending on the card's rarity, a different amount of EXP is needed to level the card. Alongside this, cards have different maximum levels depending on rarity.
Rarity | Untrained Max Level | Trained Max Level |
---|---|---|
1⭐ | 20 | N/A |
2⭐ | 30 | N/A |
3⭐ | 40 | 50 |
4⭐ | 50 | 60 |
Skills
As previously stated, skills are special abilities cards have that activate when a golden note is tapped in a live. There are a variety of skills in the game, but these are 5 main types.
Skill Type | Japanese | English |
---|---|---|
Score Up | X スコアが Y%UPする | For the next X seconds, score of all notes boosted by Y% |
Life Recovery | ライフが X 回復し 、Z 秒間スコアが Y%UPする | Restores life by X and boosts score of all notes by Y% for the next Z seconds |
Perfect Lock | X 以上がすべてPERFECTになり 、Z 秒間スコアが Y%UPする | All X+ notes turn into PERFECT notes and boosts score of all notes by Y% for the next Z seconds |
Stamina-Based Score Up | W 秒間スコアが Y%UP、発動時に自分のライフが X 以上の場合はスコアが Z%UPする | For the next W seconds, if life is above X, score boosted by Y%, otherwise, score boosted by Z% |
PERFECT Note Score Up | X 秒間PERFECTのときのみ、スコアが Y% UPする | For the next X seconds, score of PERFECT notes boosted by by Y% |
Every skill in the game can be skill leveled with skill EXP. To get skill EXP, you must go to the Skill Practice submenu, which is within the Band menu. This menu will lead you to a menu very similar to the Practice submenu, where you can choose a card to skill practice!
To skill practice a card, you will either need to practice away duplicate cards, or practice with skill EXP tickets (Check out the item list to find out how to obtain them). Once you skill leveled a card, the duration of their skill will increase! Cards can be skill leveled a maximum of 4 times, with different exp requirements depending on the rarity.
Training
Training is a way to unlock a card's true potential! It increases a card's max level by 10, boosts its stats, makes its memorial story unlockable, AND gives you a second piece of art for that respective card! How exactly do you go about doing all this?
So to start off, you must have a 3 or 4⭐ card that is at its current max level. Only 3 and 4⭐'s are trainable, and you won't be able to select them until they're at max level. Go to the Training submenu, which is found within the Band menu. Here, you'll see a list of all your current trainable cards, with symbols of various materials next to them. To train a card, you must have all of the required materials (Check out the item list to find out how to obtain them). If you do not have enough materials to train a card, the card's row will be dimmed. If it isn't dimmed, that means that you have everything you need to train your card! Hit the red button twice, and the magic begins!
A little cutscene where your card gains its trained art will happen, and then a popup with your card's new stats will appear. With that, your card has been trained!
For those of you wanting a numbers run-down on training, check out this chart↓
Rarity | Untrained Max Level | Attribute Materials Required | Other Materials | Stat Increase | Trained Max Level |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
3⭐ | 40 | 1000 & 300 | 3 | +300 | 50 |
4⭐ | 50 | 500 & 50 | 10 | +400 | 60 |
Obtaining Cards
Knowing about cards are great, but all of this information is pointless unless you have cards! So, let us go over the ways to get a card.
Gifts
Sometimes in GBP, you will receive cards as a gift! They are usually for special moments, like completing the tutorial, reading a band's story, or for some promotional campaign (1⭐'s and 2⭐'s "promos" fill this category).
Events
This is touched upon some in Events, but some cards are rewarded to players for their performance during an event! Minus the first event Kasumi on JP, all of these cards just require you to gain a certain amount of points
Gachas
The classic staple of mobage games--gachas! We all know how gachas work, so there's no need to go into that! ^o^/
...Just kidding, we're going to go over gachas.
What are Gachas?
A gacha is some kind of container that provides random items in exchange for currency. In terms of Bandori, you can scout in a virtual box that provides a random card in exchange for ⭐'s or special tickets! This act is often called scouting, so we'll use this term for the rest of this section.
There are 3 rarities you can scout in these boxes currently, with different rates. The most common rates for these rarities are as follows:
Rarity | Odds per pull |
---|---|
4⭐ | 3% |
3⭐ | 8.5% |
2⭐ | 88.5% |
Navigating & Using the Gacha page
To use gachas, you have to first navigate to them! Hit the red button titled "Gacha" between the Band menu and the carousel to access all the current gachas.
From here, there will be a list of gachas to the left, with details and scouting buttons on the right. If you want to scout, just navigate to your desired gacha, double-check that you have enough currency for your scout, and hit the scouting button. You'll reach a short loading screen, and then will be met with an envelope. The card(s) you scout will pop out one at a time, and at the end you'll have a preview of all the cards you scouted. Now, you can either hit the white button to scout again (if you have enough currency), or hit the red button to return to the gacha page.
That's all you need to know to use gachas! With these simple instructions, you should be able to collect cards in no time.
Gacha Box Types
Some gachas have cards available for a limited-time only, while others have cards that will be scoutable forever. Some gachas have rate-up for certain attributes, while others guarantees cards of certain rarities, such as 4⭐'s! Alongside the different currency requirements, the plethora of gacha box types can get quite confusing. So, let us break them down for you hear and now!
Main Gacha
- Card Types Available: Limited and/or Permanent
- Rate-Up: Featured cards
- Scouting: 1 pull for 250⭐'s, 10 pulls for 2500⭐'s, 1 pull for a Solo Ticket
The is the main gacha box in the game! This is the box where all the new cards go, getting a rate-up for the duration of their respective event. While limited cards leave this box after their featured period is over, permanent cards will stay for all future gachas too! With so many easy ways to scout, these are the most common gacha boxes to scout in.
Attribute & Band Rate-Up/Only Gachas
- Card Types Available: Permanent
- Featured Cards: A specific attribute and/or band
- Scouting: 1 pull for 250⭐'s, 10 pulls for 2500⭐'s, 1 pull for a Solo Ticket
These gachas are similar to the main gacha box, with the exception of their special rate-up! So far the Japanese version has only experienced attribute rate-up and only gachas, but the Taiwanese version has had band rate-ups too! These gachas are best suited for those trying to build up specific teams, since the game's teambuilding is band and attribute-based.
4⭐ Guarantee Gacha
- Card Types Available: Permanent
- Rate-Up: None
- Scouting: 10 pull for 2500 PAID ⭐'s
Sometimes when there are special events going on, a 4⭐ guarantee gacha will occur! Minus 1 pull being guaranteed as a 4⭐, these gachas have normal rates. You can only scout once in this gacha per occurence, so nobody gets a ridiculous amount of anyone 4⭐'s from these.
Dream Festival Gacha
- Card Types Available: DreamFest and/or Permanent
- Rate-Up: 6% for a 4⭐, and normal rate-up for featured cards
- Scouting: 1 pull for 250⭐'s, 10 pull for 2500⭐'s
Dream Festival(DreamFest) gachas arrive every few months, with an alluring rate-up for 4⭐'s! These gachas contain all of the cards from the main box at the time, except for the latest DreamFest. The last DreamFest featured 2 new "DreamFest" cards, that are only available during Dream Festivals! Additionally, the gacha featured cards next gacha early, giving players a better chance at the new set. The most recent DreamFest gacha included the past DreamFest exclusive cards as well.
There are 2 DreamFest boxes: Paid and Unpaid. The Paid DreamFest box requires 2000 Paid ⭐s, and you can only scout in it up to three times. The Unpaid DreamFest box requires 2500 Unpaid ⭐s, and you can scout in it infinitely. Both boxes have the same odds and the same cards. Whether this trend will stay for the next DreamFest is unclear, but the 6% rate-up alone is enough to make players love scouting in these boxes!
Miracle Ticket Gacha
- Card Types Available: Permanent
- Rate-Up: None
- Scouting: 10 pull AND a Miracle Ticket for 2500 PAID ⭐'s
Introduced during GBP's 1st anniversary, this gacha is a normal 10-pull a special reward--the Miracle Ticket! Players can trade Miracle Tickets in the exchange shop for a permanent 4⭐ of their choosing, making many people's wishes come true. You may only be able to scout in these once per appearance, but many are satisfied just to finally have that one 4⭐.
Golden Ticket Gacha
- Card Types Available: Permanent
- Rate-Up: 90% for a 3⭐, 10% for a 4⭐
- Scouting: 1 pull for a GACHA TICKET, 10 pull for 10 GACHA TICKETS
This never-ending gacha features the majority of permanent cards in the game! Every month or so it gets an additon of permanent cards from a few months back, so that you'll always have a chance at some relatively new cards. Since one gacha tickets takes 300 Michelle stickers, this gacha is not scouted in that often, despite its high rates.
There are a few other special gacha boxes with their own special conditions, but they're too infrequent to define as a "gacha" type. Every gacha has a short description and showcases every card available with their rates, so with this you should be able to get the gist of what a gacha is.
