Events are limited-time campaigns that provide players with various rewards for playing!
If there is an event currently going on in the game, then you can access its page by:
- Clicking the event banner from the carousel
- Accessing the event mini banner from the live page
By visiting the event page, you can watch the event story, read the instructions on how to play, discover your event tier, and see all the rewards available! Common rewards for events include limited 2⭐ and 3⭐’s, exclusive titles, and much more!
To learn about each event's little quirks as well as how to get the most out of events, check out the sections down below↓
General Event Tips
It can be hard to know how to increase your point gain, or how to achieve higher song scores. Luckily, we've got a tip area right here to get you set on the right path!
Build your team around the featured attribute and characters
If you didn't already know, events have featured girls for every event! There are multiple areas where you can find this info (event instructions, point gain page, etc.), but our favorite is the team building screen! During an event, the chibis of all the featured girls will be shown along with the featured attribute, so you can instantly know how much of a point boost you'll be gaining with your team! (Remember that while point boosts are nice, you still need to focus on your score too. If the featured attributes and girls cause you to gain too low a score, you'll end up with less points overall)
Don't worry about boost usage
When you're playing an event, you will always at one point have some boosts to use. Unlike for most live rewards, during events, each boost will give you x5 more points, even if stacked. If you're someone without a lot of time on their hands, this can be extremely beneficial.
Normal Events
- Type of lives: Free and Multi lives
- 2⭐ Point Goal: 30,000P
- Sticker Point Goal: 50,000P
- 3⭐ Point Goal: 150,000P
- Quirks: Token Exchange Shop
As these events debuted with GBP, it only makes sense for them to be the simplest!
To start earning some points in this event, head on over to either a free or multilive room to do a live! After you're done, points will be calculated and tokens rewarded based off your performance and the members in your team. This is all you need to do to participate in this event and earn some awesome rewards!
Token Exchange Shop
The token exchange shop is a place where you can exhange tokens for some sweet rewards! For every event, you can earn some basic rewards such as gems, drops, gold, and training tickets. However, you can also get more rare items, such as michelle cookies, or a girl-specific skill ticket! With so much to offer, players often find themselves visiting this place.
To take advantage of the token exchange shop, one must first go to it! The first way to do this is through the exchange menu! From Menu, click on the Exchange button, and then the current event's banner! From there, you should arrive at the token exchange shop.
The second way is through the event page itself! When on the event page, click on your token count to arrive at the token exchange shop!
No matter the method, the result is the same, so make sure to visit the token shop once in a while during a normal event.
Normal Event Tips
Play Multilives for extra points
You can play in either free live or multilive, but multilive rooms give significantly more points! Free lives are still good for those who like consistency (multilives are more prone to DC's and varied scores) have weak internet connections, or want to Full Combo that one song and you don't want to pester other players by continuously choosing the same song/risking DC. Regardless, you should shoot for multilive rooms to maximize your point gain!
There are no song tiers, so play whatever you want!
Lots of event types have tiers for your score on a song, but not normal events! Normal events feature only point tiers, so you should just play whatever song suits your fancy (that you don't exhaust on)
Challenge Events
- Type of lives: Free, Multi, and Challenge lives
- 2⭐ Point Goal: 20,000P
- Sticker Point Goal: 30,000P
- 3⭐ Point Goal: 100,000P
- Quirks: CP & Challenge Lives
Introduced 4 months after the game's release, this event type offers us a break from the constant cycle of playing multilives with a bigger focus on individual play.
Just like with normal events, you can earn points through both free and multi lives! After playing a live you get points based off your performance, and all's good. However, unlike normal events, you gain CP instead of tokens, which enables you to play challenge lives!
Challenge Lives
Now, you might be asking, "What are Challenge Lives?"
Challenge Lives are limited-time lives you can participate in for extra points and song score tiering! By heading over to the Free Challenge Live room, you can play one of the three featured songs for 200, 400, or 800 CP (CP functions like boosts, with x1, x2, and x4 point gain). You get to pick your team just like in a normal free live room, and then you just play the live as you normally would! After playing the song, you'll gain a significant amount of points! If you beat your latest record on the song, you also get a new song score tier!
Song score tier? Yes, just like for points, there are tiers for your performance on the event song! The rewards for different song tiers can be found on the event page, but these tiers are primarily pursued by whales, as it focuses entirely on your team strength.
Challenge Event Tips
Don't waste CP
CP is valuable, as they can gain you a substantial amount of bonus points! Whether you use 200, 400, or 800CP at a time doesn't matter, as long as you end up using it all in the end. If you aren't confident on how you'll perform on a song, we suggest you only use 200CP, saving the large amounts of CP for the songs you're best at!
Play every event song at every difficulty possible
During free and multilives your song choice doesn't matter, but you shouldn't stick to just your favorite event song when doing challenge lives! There are a seperate set of rewards for the event songs, so even if you SS'd and FC'd the song before, you can still get some new goodies. Also, even if you aren't consistently good at higher difficulties, all it takes is one solid play of a song to get you a good song score ranking. The rewards for song score are low, but still worthwhile, so try to reach the highest rank you can!
Teambuild for challenge lives seperately
While the general tips speaks about how the featured attribute and characters give you more points, this doesn't work out the same with challenge lives. In challenge lives, your card's power gets boosted instead of your point gain. This means that some of your weaker cards that were giving you all these extra points aren't nearly as helpful as before, and should be replaced.
To build an optimal team for challenge lives, we suggest you start by building the strongest team you can (Go to gameplay to find out how], and then start adding in cards of the featured attribute and girls! Check out the team select screen before a challenge live to see a team's current strength, and continue this process of trial-and-error until you've got the strongest team possible!
Band Battle Events
- Type of lives: Band Battle Lives
- 2⭐ Point Goal: 15,000P
- Sticker Point Goal: 25,000P
- 3⭐ Point Goal: 75,000P
- Quirks: VS Coins & Band Battles
Introduced only 2 months after challenge events, this event does a complete 180 from challenge events by completely taking them free lives out of the mix!
Band Battle events focus on 5 bands battling against each other in special "band battle" lives! Based off your performance, you get points and VS coins, which can be used in Marina's Gacha!
Band battle lives? Marina's Gacha? No other events feature these, so they take a bit of explaining.
Band Battle Lives
Band Battle lives are the band battle equivalent of a challenge live! Just like for challenge lives, the button to access the lives are purple, but they are beside the multilive button. The reason for this is that band battles are essentially multilives, just with a few differences.
To start, the gameplay for band battles are similar to free lives! You see all the chibis of the girls on your team instead of everybody's center, and the skills that activate are strictly your own. In the top left you can see the other 4 player's combos, as well as their current scores (their icon outline matches with the score bar), but you are much more seperated from them then in usual multilives.
After the live, unlike normal multilives, you receive placements based off your overall score! Once you arrive at the point gain screen, you will gain points and VS coins based off your performance and placement. You will gain more points being 1st place than being in 5th. After that, you return to the band battle select screen, ready to play another live.
Band Battle Live Rooms
The differences for band battles don't just stop in their gameplay, as even the available rooms and how they function for matchmaking change too!
The first room to the left is the Event Song room. In this room, you can play a band battle live of the event song for points, as well as for song score tier! You enter the room like normal, but once everyone is inside, the event song is immediately chosen! Once every player is ready to go, you play the song, receive your placement, and gain your rewards. If you got a new record your song score tier will increase, but elsewise that's it! (Keep in mind that you will not get ⭐s for FC/S,SS rank. If you want the ⭐s, you will need to play the song in free live.)
The second room, dubbed the Music Selection room, is a band battle room where you can't receive a song score tier, and where you get to choose the song you play. Everything else is exactly the same as Event Song rooms, so these rooms should be sought after by those who get tired of playing the same song over and over again.
That's about it! There are also private rooms and daily rooms for band battles, but those are handled the same as they are in multilive rooms, so there is no need to concern yourself with those. Band battle lives initially seem confusing, but after a few plays you'll get use to them!
Marina's Gacha
Marina's Gacha is a limited-time gacha where you can trade in VS coins for a pull in a large pool of items!
To start taking advantage of this gacha, you'll obviously have to go to it! To access Marina's Gacha, visit the event page, and click on the button that looks like a pouch! (It should be beside your VS coin counter)
Once there, you'll see Marina on the left side of the screen, and then a whole bunch of gacha-related things to the right. For a translation of everything on this page you can check out the image down below, but the only parts you need to understand are the two buttons below the VS coin counter. The button to the left does 1 pull in the gacha for 10 VS coins, while the button to the right does 2~10 pulls (depends on how much you can afford) all at the same time, with the cost stacking accordingly.
That's about it for Marina's Gacha! It should be noted that you're pulling in boxes with limited contents, so you get to clear out a gacha box before getting a fresh one! It can be tedious for those who get the items they want early on, but for those with questionable luck, it guarantees that eventually you'll get that one special item!
Band Battle Event Tips
Don't Dodge Songs
We don't promote people dodging in the first place, but it is critical during this event type. Unlike with all the other events, your flames are consumed once you enter song selection. There'll be an indicator the first time you try to enter a band battle live telling you this, so you're expected to know this going in. Alongside this, we also suggest that you try to use 1 boost at a time when possible, since all it takes is someone with a weak connection to make you lose all your flames.
Prioritize team strength
Just like with challenge lives, band battle events also contribute extra card power to each card with the featured attribute and girls, instead of a point boost. Since you only gain event points through band battle lives in this event, there is no reason to build a team just for point boost. Using the BP indicator on the top left of the band battle lives page, find the appropriate balance of boosts to maximize your team strength.
Play in the Event Song room
Even if you hate the event song, you should play it at least once for the song score tier. The rewards, while miniscule, are worth it. Also, if you don't have a lot of time on your hands or love to tier, this room can save you a solid 10~40 seconds per match! Every skipped song selection adds up over time, so make sure to take advantage of its benefits.
Live Try Events
- Type of lives: Free and Multi lives
- 2⭐ Point Goal: ???P
- Sticker Point Goal: ???P
- 3⭐ Point Goal: ???P
- Quirks: Token Exchange Shop & Live Trials
Released almost a whole year after the game's release, this event type is by far the freshest. While this event primarily functions the same as a normal event, the addition of live trials makes it a seperate entity.
Live Trials (WIP)
Live Trials are challenges the player can complete for additional rewards during the event! By clicking the checkmark on the event page, you can see your current set of trials!
During a live, if you fulfill the trial's requirements, you'll complete it, and then get a new trial to complete. Every trial completion rewards a considerable amount of extra points, but other goodies such as gold and training tickets are also common.
There are 5 types of trials with 10 seperate trials, and if you complete all of these you will receive the "Trial Master" title for that event, and unlock EX trials. EX Trials are 5 more difficult trials for each category, and if you can complete all of these, you will receive another event-themed title called "EX Trial Master".
That's it for Live Trials! They're no huge deal, but the extra rewards offered are worth at least a few tries!
List of Live Trials (WIP)
If you can't read Japanese, it can be really hard to know what live trials you have to complete! Luckily, Bandori.Party user Daily has provided us with translations of all the available trials! Please refer to the image below to see what trials you currently have.
Live Trial Event Tips
Try completing live trials in free live
While you might not get as many normal event points from free live, for harder trials, the benefits of having your whole team's skills available become much more substantial. You get a flat amount of points per trial completed, so the trial completion reward will be just like you completed them in multilives. We also suggest you try these in free live when you have no boosts left, as then you won't be wasting x5 point gain from multilives on a trial. (None of this applies for Co-Op trials of course, as those require multilives)
Build teams to complete live trials
If you follow the tip up above for completing live trials, then you should be able to easily swap between teams. If you need to FC a song, or get less than 10 greats, then try making a team with only Perfect Lock cards. A healing team would be perfect for any life try, and if you really need a high individual score, then maybe a team of scorers will help! This doesn't help for Co-Op tries, but it should you with the majority of trials.
