This project is based off of GZDoom, and while they do push their source code, a particular version/fork by CrowEater works on Mac. The OpenGL version doesn't work without some work to the game's data but the Vulkan renderer works out of the box.
Still firming up the long term strategy on how to handle this one as the project is still in active development but is also designed to shut out anything but the data it supports.
