Pedal Point
Defined by wikipedia.org/wiki/pedal_point/: The term comes from the organ for its ability to sustain a note indefinitely and the tendency for such notes to be played on an organ's pedal keyboard.
Game Loop:
Running along a music staff with the rhythm of a song played in the background, the player character is a music note hopping onto lines of the staff which are the tones to play in the background track. The player will earn rewards (Power-Ups) by successfully hoping on what would be a chord in a music stanza. The player starts in the Key of C Major and will start songs/levels positioned on middle C of the grand staff. A player will be penalized if they don't hop on the correct count in time/tempo or jump on the wrong platform (line on the staff) in a given key. The object of the level is to complete the music piece/song/riff and get as many points as possible. The points meter will act as a guide at the top of the UI, providing the player with a visual pulse of the tempo, while also filling up from left to right and displaying the numeric value of the player's points.
