BLTouch Mount
Due to the heat in the print head, the holder should also be able to withstand the heat. I had my holder printed with ABS, but PETG is supposed to work as well.
Assembly
The holder can be screwed directly to the top cover of the printhead. Make sure that the holder is mounted and screwed as far away from the hot end as possible.
In order for the BLTouch to work correctly, you must also check the path of the BLTouch pin. In the extended state the pin must be lower than the nozzle, in the retracted state the pin must be above the nozzle. You may therefore need to adjust the height of the holder with washers.
Wiring
- Remove the printhead cover and the interface board and solder the two pins as shown in the picture.
- Assemble the BLTouch signal and ground (black and white) with a 2-pole Dupont connector or solder it directly on the pins shown above.
- Use cables and lay them parallel to the rest of the cable chain up to the inside of the case to the mainboard.
- Connect the cables with the marked contacts (pin header is marked and already soldered).
- Ready! :-)
