The MCT Blog is lead by students of the master's programme in Music, Communication & Technology (MCT). The blog is a platform to share publicly the outcomes of individual and group projects and reflect on technological issues with a technological-humanistic perspective.

This guide includes essential information on how to post on the MCT Blog. The guide covers the technical aspects only. Usually blog posts are written for the general public, therefore language and style should be significantly different than academic articles (as most papers you write in the MCT master's programme), in which the expect the reader to be knowledgeable in a specific field. For more information on how to organize contents and create a good blog post, refer to following articles:

This guide will help you at the beginning with getting started with the MCT Blog. Later on you can use it as a reference for useful code snippets, to access more advanced features, or to develop and maintain the blog.

Part 1: Prerequisites

The Prerequisites guide describes the software and accounts you need to have in order to use the MCT Blog for posting, maintenance or development.

Part 2: Creating a Blog Post

The Creating a Blog Post guide walks through all the necessary steps to create a new blog post from scratch. The guide also includes the template for blog posts, the list of post categories, and instructions for editing existing blog posts.

Part 3: Embedding and Storage of Files

The Embedding and Storage of Files guide provides detailed information on how to name and where to store files (images, audio, video, code, documents, etc.) that are embedded in the blog posts or linked for download. The guide also provide code snippets, examples, and suggestions for embedding multimedia files in blog posts.

Part 4: Author's Page

The Author's Page guide includes information how how to create and customize your personalized author page on the blog, which lists all posts you have authored.

Part 5: Blog Maintenance and Development

The Blog Maintenance and Development guide includes information on the blog infrastructure for development of new features and for maintenance ensuring long-term sustainability.
