Background

Buying electronic components online can feel overwhelming with too much information to connect two different types of components together. Larger platforms are often cluttered, complicated, or not focused on affordability. This opens up an opportunity to build a streamlined, user-friendly webshop, developed with simple and reliable tools with HTML, CSS, PHP, and MYSQL using AMPPS.

User/Target groups

Our key users include tech enthusiasts, students and gamers that are in need of buying computer components to have an affordable computer setup. The point with this is to buy components that are in need of either upgrading your system or simply buying all the components to build it yourself.

Market

We’ll be trying to imitate in the same space as Kjell & Company, and broader popular platforms like Amazon or AliExpress in the categories for electrical parts, specifically for PC building such as AMD and Intel. While we can’t match them in size, we aim to compete by offering a more focused, local, and user-friendly alternative.

Features/Unique Selling Points

The site will be clean and everything is designed with the user in mind: clear product pictures, straightforward layout with login and cart functions, responsive design and clear explanation for every product electronic part including giving suggestive parts for a selected product.

Limitation & Tech

As a small project, we’re working with limited resources and experience as a result there will be a modest amount of products uploaded on the website. Reduce the amount of variety in tech components towards computers, specifically in PC Windows versions. The project (Frugal Company)'s development is being done in Visual Studio Code with previous knowledge of HTML and CSS for the structure and styling , JavaScript is used on the frontend to enhance user experience such as real-time cart updates or product suggestions, MySQL for storing product and user data, and lastly PHP for backend logic.
