Initially established as a joint-collaborative project between the Armada and the (at the time) residing capital systems of Sectors 2 and 3, the Mezzer’s Congress (formally AAC for Armadan-Altmezoniakh Congress) was created to act as a client state to serve Armadan interests in the region with the relief of bureaucratic oversight.
However its status as a highly unstable puppet state led to an exponential resentment between its systems that ended with the dismantlement of the federation. Armadan intervention came swiftly, plunging the region into yet another existential war that served as the framework for the founding of the New Galactic Congress (NGC).
An eclectic political confederation of sovereign planetary states united for purposes of common action to twofold- against the threat of Armadan military occupation, and for mutual financial gain through expansion into the politically unoccupied galaxy’s edge.
From grand corporations to criminal syndicates and more, the NGC’s constituents cooperate alongside a (albeit weak) central government. Systems under the NGC greatly vary in quality of life and wealth; whilst one planet may be a totalitarian nightmare, another one system away may pursue elective processes. The motivations of the individual systems in the NGC are forwarded by material rewards reaped from expansions into Rogue Space.
The colonization of the Rogue Sector by the NGC is ongoing, and amongst the forefront priorities the expansionist systems within its borders to mixed reception by the central government. As a result of this low degree of control in home space, the central government occasionally sends capital ships to the Rogue to “civilize” any stiff resistance, oversee their own operations, and operations made by the NGC’s constituents. The NGC holds more power over rogue space than it does its home systems.

A powerful collective of organizations located in Rogue Space, the Rogue Sector encompasses the region and in practice acts an independent political entity that taxes void station-settled populi beneath it. The Rogue Sector employs volunteers, mercenaries and more with an unparalleled degree of economic freedom between its inner components. It possesses a bureaucratic system and private standing armies emphasized for brutality are used to keep its systems under control.
In order to protect its assets, the Rogue Sector continues to extract all mineral wealth of the region and collect it, cracking what few planets and moons are present to mask rogue space as inherently worthless for colonization. However this has not stopped the now-ongoing guerilla conflicts from happening between Rogue Sector companies, independents, and NGC convoys.
