Getting Started with Continuum Launcher

Quick Note: Continuum may be flagged as a virus, this is a false positive. Continuum just isn't signed and isn't "commonly downloaded". Building and running from the code is always an option as well.

Before running Continuum, please ensure that Xenia and/or Xenia Canary are present in the Apps\Xenia and Apps\Canary folders, respectfully. Only the executables are required.

Make sure to have Xbox 360 game files from an Xbox 360 console ready to go. When opening Continuum for the first time, it should look something like this:

You can access Continuum's menu by right-clicking, pressing the Backspace or Escape keys, or pressing the Back button or B button on an Xbox controller:

Adding and Removing Games

From the Menu, click the 'Add a Game' button. Two methods of adding a game are available: Manual Import and Import From STFS

When possible, an STFS Import should be used. As long as the game file is an original STFS file (An unmodified file straight from an Xbox 360 console), Continuum will be able to automatically pull the game's display name, title ID, and icon from the file. From there, a text prompt will appear asking for the filepath to the new game's file:

This is where the filepath (preferably absolute) to the game will go. Note that Ctrl+V can be used to paste, and quotes will be removed so that Windows' 'Copy as Path' can be used. Click Done (or Ctrl+Enter) to save the filepath. Continuum will then show the display name and title ID of the given game through a prompt. If the 'Yes' button is clicked, the game will be added to the database and you can further edit game data:

Cover art can be added in the 'Edit Filepaths' section. Launch Settings allow changing Xenia settings specifically for that game. Categories allow you to organize games in Continuum. Executables are additional STFS game files or extracted XEXs that should be tied to the game and use the same settings.

Note that any window in Continuum can be closed with the same keys/buttons used to open the Menu. Once the Manage window is closed, Continuum's dashboard should update with the new game:

However, there's still a blank game leftover. Once a game has been added, this placeholder game can be removed without issue. To do so, click on the placeholder game. This will take you to the launch screen:

Click the 'Manage Game' button. The Manage screen will once again appear. Now click 'Manage Executables', and the following screen will appear:

Normally, this is where executables are added and deleted. However, this is also where games themselves are deleted. When on the main executable (The only one, if no more have been added), the 'Delete Executable' button will instead delete the game. When prompted for assurance, click 'Yes', and the placeholder game will be removed:

Editing Launcher Options

In the Menu, click 'Launcher Options'. The following screen will appear:

From here, you can edit any of the launcher's options. Note that all Xenia settings in these menus are applied globally, meaning they are applied across all games.

Installing DLC and Title Updates

NOTE: 'xenia-vfs-dump.exe' from the latest Xenia release must be inside the Apps\Dump folder for this feature to work, and the 'Consolidate Saves' option must be ON (Default is on)

After importing a game into Continuum, in the Menu, click 'Manage Data'. The following screen will appear, with contents unique to your configuration:

Click on the game you want to install content for. A listing of all the game's available content will be shown in the next window, assuming the game and its data is still in the original folder and naming structure from the Xbox 360, as such:

Now, click on an applicable DLC or Title Update, and a prompt will appear asking to import the content into Xenia. After clicking 'Yes', the content will be extracted and imported for use in Xenia Canary. After refreshing the file manager, it should reflect the changes:

Clicking on the new 'Imported DLC' item will allow you to delete it. The same process can be used for deleting any temporary Xenia data.
