所有分析函数默认使用本机最新的版本；fishing_area_data()、area_overview()和fao_report()可以用data_version指定版本（"latest"、"bundled"或如"2026.1.0"）。网站每篇文章开头都写明了所用的版本和下载链接。

All analyses use the newest release available; data_version chooses another. Every page of the website states the release used.

FishBase与SeaLifeBase · FishBase and SeaLifeBase

• 包内自带一个物种特征表（FishBase和SeaLifeBase 26.06），离线时也能使用。A trait table from FishBase and SeaLifeBase 26.06 is bundled for offline use.

• check_fishbase_update()、download_fishbase_data()下载数据表的快照（parquet文件），默认只下载本包所需的表（约30 MB）。这些快照由rOpenSci的rfishbase项目发布：源代码 https://github.com/ropensci/rfishbase，数据文件 https://data.source.coop/cboettig/fishbase/，引用Boettiger, Lang & Wainwright (2012), Journal of Fish Biology 81(6): 2030–2039, doi:10.1111/j.1095-8649.2012.03464.x。The snapshots are published by the rfishbase project of rOpenSci.

• fishbase_match()按公开的规则逐条匹配FAO物种条目，每一行都给出规则来源和链接；fishbase_sources()列出来源、许可协议和匹配规则。

• 许可：FishBase和SeaLifeBase为CC BY-NC 4.0（FishBase.org team），引用Froese & Pauly (Eds.)和Palomares & Pauly (Eds.)。

• 中文名（0.6.0起）：FAO名录中没有中文名、且只对应一个物种的条目，使用FishBase和SeaLifeBase中给中国的简体中文俗名（1144个条目，FAO名称始终优先），名称表为inst/extdata/species_names_zh_fishbase.csv，由data-raw/build_species_names_zh.R生成，数据来自rfishbase读取的FishBase数据表。Species items without an FAO Chinese name take the Chinese common name of FishBase or SeaLifeBase (simplified characters, names given for China).

海表温度 · Sea surface temperature

• 包内自带NOAA ERSST v5（2°×2°，1950–2025年）各FAO渔区的逐年海表温度。NOAA ERSST v5 is bundled.
• download_sst_data()可下载HadISST1、COBE-SST2或OISST v2.1，或补充ERSST v5新发布的年份；也可以用自己的NetCDF文件（fao_area_sst(sst = "路径")）。
• fao_sst_products()列出各产品及其参考文献。
