Instance Manipulation Guide
Note: This method requires at least one friend/partner to party with. It has been tested and confirmed to work in Patch 7.05 of Dawntrail. There is a chance it may be patched or changed in the future.
How It Works
-
Instance Assignment
When you first join a world (either by logging in or switching worlds) and then enter a map that has multiple instances, the game will set a “fixed” instance you’ll keep joining for other maps with the same number of instances. -
Forcing Instance 1
- Have a friend go to a multi-instance map and switch themselves to Instance 1.
- Invite your friend to your party.
- Teleport to the map where your friend is located. You will be forced into Instance 1.
- After this, any map you teleport to that has the same number of instances will place you into Instance 1.
-
Important Details
- If you teleport to a map that has a different number of instances, the game may assign you a new “fixed” instance.
- If you already went to a map with multiple instances before trying this trick, you can switch worlds and come back to reset your instance assignment and try again.
Party Formation Method (Quick Steps)
- Form a Party of 2 people (you and a friend).
- Test Teleport to a multi-instance map:
- If you land in Instance 1, you’re good to go.
- If not, disband and re-form the party to try again.
- Once you manage to join Instance 1 during a teleport, the game sets your “fixed” instance to 1.
Tip: This works 100% in Patch 7.05 (tested). Keep in mind it might change in future updates.
Final Notes
- If you notice you’ve lost your “fixed” instance (e.g., you end up in Instance 2 or 3 after a teleport), you can switch worlds, come back, and repeat the process.
Enjoy your time in Instance 1!
