WHAT IS ACCESSIBILITY?

Web content can be difficult for users with disabilities to navigate and process. The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 requires agencies to ensure people with disabilities have the same access to information and services as others in the community.

Online, this means to design and build digital content that meets the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) accessibility guidelines, so that if you’re a person with one or more of the impairments you’ll still be able to access the content.
