The aim of the Marker Characterization tool is to evaluate the expression of certain markers on prescored CTCs. That means, instead of loading all images only small thumbnails of cells scored before as CTC are loaded and evaluated. These cells can be either selected by the software of the machine used to record the images (like the CellSearch or DepArray system) or using a plugin for the ICY image analysis software in case no such software is provided. To analyze the results open the sample in the Sample Visualizer.

Note that any object touching the boarder of the loaded thumbnails is excluded from further analysis and if multiple objects are found in one thumbnail, objects without any signal in the inclusion (third) fluorescent channel are removed from the analysis as well.
