Contributor Agreements - LemontechSA/TideSDK GitHub Wiki

The Basis of Contribution

The goal with the TideSDK project is to transition the project to a non-profit entity so that we can operate and support the project financially as a legal entity.

That said, managing copyright at the onset is important to enable a future transition without the need to track down and individually obtain agreement (after the fact) for work performed in the past. To prevent this, contributors must enter into an agreement with the Project Lead to assign copyright to the project prior to contributing. The agreement is a simple one that will assure a transition with the least expense and complexity.

If you are interested in contributing to the project, the best way to begin is to get in touch on #tidesdk on freenode or the TideSDK Mailing List.

How are Contributors Acknowledged

Contributors of code, documentation, media, or sample projects will be acknowledged under a CONTRIBUTORS heading in the project code for the work they perform on behalf of the project.
