Reverting changes - LemmusLemmus/GlosSI-Integration-Playnite GitHub Wiki
If you need to revert changes made by this extension due to an issue with the software, please report it here on GitHub!
After reverting any changes, remember that Steam has to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
To revert all changes made by the extension, select every integrated game (including hidden games) in your library and click on "Remove Integration" in the right-click menu. If used, the Playnite and default overlay can be removed either via GlosSIConfig or Steam.
If this does not work, or if something else went wrong and you want to return your Steam shortcuts to exactly how they were before you used this plugin, follow the instructions below.
There are three ways to go about doing this, see below. After following the instructions below, feel free to remove the "[GI] integrated" tag from the games in Playnite.
Replace the Steam shortcuts.vdf
file with the one called shortcuts.vdf.bak
, located in the same folder (by renaming shortcuts.vdf.bak
to shortcuts.vdf
). If you cannot see the file extensions in the File Explorer, in the window header select "View"→"File name extensions".
If the shortcuts.vdf.bak
file is missing for some weird reason, you can use the shortcuts.vdf
file located in the extension data folder, see below.
Navigate to the ExtensionsData\6b0297da-75e5-4330-bb2d-b64bff22c315\Backup
folder. The Targets
folder contains all your previous GlosSI Targets files (if you had any). These can be moved to %appdata%\GlosSI\Targets
. The other folder should contain your old shortcuts.vdf
file, which you can replace your current Steam shortcuts.vdf
file with.
Going through your Steam library and manually removing the relevant shortcuts is always an option. In your Steam library, select the shortcuts you wish to remove, right-click and choose "Manage"→"Remove selected non-Steam games from your library".
