In this modpack, there is the concept of temperature, which is represented by the Homeostatic mod.

At the start of the game, you receive a starter kit with a book like this one that explains how the mod works.

You have partial leather armor and wool to protect yourself from the cold. For that, you need to use the following crafting recipe:

You can use the provided candles to add a waterproof layer to your armor, using the same crafting recipe (replacing the wool with the candles).

You will also need to stay hydrated. A flask is provided, which you can fill at any water source (except sinks, apparently). But be careful, this water must be purified before drinking! For that, I’ve given you some charcoal: you need to heat your flask in a furnace before you can drink it.

Lava can cause radiations. You will need to protect yourself to get close to any lava lake.
