The Simulation feature allows the user to observe what is the effect that certain changes have in the current values of the quality assessment.
The contextual menu shows three different options: Factors, Metrics, and Quality Requirements). Each one allowing the customization of one type of element.
In the Factors view, the dashboard allows to simulate the Strategic Indicators assessed values based on the user’s modification of the Quality Factors that compose them. This view shows:
- Quality Factors on the left, with their values represented by a slider that can be adjusted to the user’s choice.
- Detailed Strategic Indicators, in the middle, the user can see which Quality Factors affect to each Strategic Indicator.
- Strategic Indicators, on the right, the user can see the impact on each Strategic Indicator.
When the user clicks Apply button, the simulated assessment based on the customized values appears on top of the old one, appearing in a different colour for both the Detailed Strategic Indicators and the Strategic Indicators. It's also shown some icons that indicate how it is the simulation value respect the original value and it's shown the percentage of improvement. If the user wants to undo all the modifications, the Restore button will place the sliders back to its original values and will remove the current simulation.
