Why Singularity?
- bloatware
- data ecosystem
- unified object model
- applications are too diverse, complicated, non-universal, and re-invent too many things.
- new computer science
- no-one else does it
Given how much ACTUAL information a single user uses (or even CAN use) at a given moment or application, a computer OS should be perfectly functional
with 1Mb of working memory, then you can scale this exponentially for usage that goes down logarithmically. The OS scratches two primary itches: the bloatware that ALL modern OSs have become and the lack of real integration at the kernel level for
peer networking (aka:
COMMUNITY). So we'll be going back to basic principles of OS theory and even create some new
computer science and engineering.
