Renewal Steps (Quick)

  1. Log in to Porkbun using club Gmail.
  2. Go to Domain Management → Billing.
  3. Ensure auto-renew is enabled OR manually renew before due date.
  4. Verify that Cloudflare nameservers are still active.
  5. Verify that DNSSEC is still enabled in Cloudflare and DS record exists in Porkbun.
  6. Confirm DNS records in Cloudflare match template:
    • CNAME: www → lawtonchilesredcrossclub.github.io
    • A records (root):
      • @ → 185.199.108.153
      • @ → 185.199.109.153
      • @ → 185.199.110.153
      • @ → 185.199.111.153

⚠️ Always include all four A records — they provide redundancy and performance.

Verification After Renewal

After completing the renewal, follow the steps in the ✅ Domain & Site Verification Checklist.

  • Confirm DNS records are correct in Cloudflare
  • Confirm HTTPS lock icon (🔒) on https://www.lchsredcross.org
  • Confirm root domain redirects to www
  • Confirm DNSSEC shows as enabled in both Cloudflare and Porkbun
  • Test site on both desktop and mobile
  • Update this page with renewal date and verification notes

If Something Breaks

  • Website not loading?

    • Confirm domain is still active in Porkbun.
    • In Cloudflare DNS, check that CNAME and all 4 A records exist.
    • Ensure lchsredcross.org redirects to www.lchsredcross.org.

  • HTTPS not working?

  • DNSSEC errors?

    • Re-check DS record in Porkbun matches values in Cloudflare.
    • Use DNSViz to confirm chain of trust.
