How to publish the podcast - Lambda-Cartel/everything GitHub Wiki

Requirements

  • Google login credentials for [email protected]

  • Youtube video URL (if ripping audio from video).

  • Audio file (if already ripped or previously recorded

Ripping the audio from Youtube and converting to MP3

  • Copy the youtube video URL from the published video. Note that the video needs to be public.

  • Go to this website: https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/mp3-converter

  • Enter the youtube video URL into the form and hit start.

  • When finished, download the file. The name of the file will be the name of the video.

Publishing on SoundCloud

  • Go to https://soundcloud.com

  • Login through Google (login form provides button to login with Google).

  • On the upper right corner, there will be a button that says upload. Click it.

  • Upload episode. Make sure to include the necessary metadata as subject, tags, etc. If in doubt, ask first.

  • It will publish automatically once the download is finished.
