Common Fixes - Lakatrazz/BONELAB-Fusion GitHub Wiki
Had an issue using Fusion? There may be a fix here!
General
Everytime I join a server, it says "Disconnected from Server!"
This means that Steam failed to establish a connection with the host. Common fixes are:
- Checking your internet connection
- Disabling any active VPNs
- This also includes anything that would encrypt IPs and cause issues with Steamworks, such as Cloudflare WARP
- Restarting your computer
- Logging out and back into Steam
- Restarting the game
When I open the menu, every menu is showing at once?
This is a very rare bug that only a few people have encountered, but some fixes are here:
- Uninstalling all other mod.io mods (except Fusion Content/Cosmetics)
- Reinstalling Fusion Content
- Reinstalling the game
If none of these fixed it, you may have to try a few times, as the issue is due to the game being unable to load the mod assets properly.
Spawn Guns/Nimbus Guns/Magazines despawn, so I can't use them!
These items are despawned automatically after a certain period of time due to them commonly cluttering and lagging lobbies.
However, you do not need to use the spawn gun that comes with the level, as you can unlock the spawn gun in your menu in base game BONELAB after completing the game.
Also, items that are holstered, held, or being interacted with will not despawn.
Items spawned using BoneMenu/other are not syncing!
Only specific types of spawning are manually synced due to performance and stability reasons.
Because BoneMenu is not part of BONELAB and it uses the base game's unsynced spawner, its spawn buttons will not sync.
To spawn items in Fusion, please use the Spawn Gun.
Additionally, not all base game spawners are synced due to many areas of the game using different spawning techniques. However, these will be synced in updates over time.
Quest
I can't make servers/it says no servers found! (MacOS FusionHelper)
Instead of running the app directly, go into the contents of the app, go into the MacOS folder, and run the Fusion Helper exec there. It will run the same program, but it will properly connect to Steam.
FusionHelper says it doesn't detect steam, but I have steam open!
Run FusionHelper as administrator.
I accidentally closed the firewall window when starting FusionHelper/the window never appeared. What do I do?
Go into Windows Firewall settings and manually allow FusionHelper and both private and public networks.
When I try to play Fusion, it says "Timed Out" or "Could not connect to FusionHelper."
This is caused by your Quest not having a connection to FusionHelper, which runs all the networking. Common causes:
- Your Quest and PC not being on the same WiFi network
- FusionHelper not running in the first place. Make sure to install FusionHelper on a computer and run it with Steam active
If neither works, restart your Quest headset. This has been a fix for many.
