Making a music on LMMS - LMMS/lmms GitHub Wiki
Getting Started
first, you are going to want to set up an instrument track.(personally I recomend using soundfonts but I will tell you where to find those later) for now you should go to the Instruments tab and drag TripleOscillator into the Song-Editor from there you want to click on its icon and mess around with the dials until it sounds good to you
Using vestige and sf2player
this is the part i mentioned as my personal reccomendation earlier to use sf2player, you are going to need sf2 files, (it says it works with sf3 but I can't get it to work personally.) once you get an sf2 file, you also want to go into settings and set an sf2 file directory folder and put the soundfont in it, then you want to put sf2 player into song-editor and then you want to click the pink?(red?) whatever color it is supposed to be, the one underneath the word "patch" and select your soundfont. then hit the button underneath the button you just hit, and select a patch.
for vestige you want to download vst2 files and do the same thing but with the vst directory instead.
where to get these files
for soundfonts, I personally use, musical artifacts https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts along with https://www.williamkage.com/snes_soundfonts/ and https://woolyss.com/chipmusic-soundfonts.php for vsts i use https://woolyss.com/chipmusic-plugins.php and https://plugins4free.com/ you can also find plenty of both on sites like archive.org and various subreddits and discord servers.
