Movement and visibility
The page contains visibility range, territory-line radius, thickness and hue, stamina-check handling, automatic obstacle avoidance and Obstacle scan distance.
Obstacle scan distance is a maximum allowance of 1–5 additional detour tiles. It is not a cast-detection radius and it does not force a five-tile detour. The route planner first tries the shortest direct route, then tests lateral, perpendicular, diagonal and, when needed, backward alternatives. It revalidates each step when the world changes.
Cast indicators
Settings are independent for:
- My character;
- Other Player, including standard human, elf and gargoyle bodies and party members;
- NPC / Monster.
The bar can be placed to the left, right, above or below the mobile. Length is 0–200 pixels, one unit equals one pixel, and 0 hides the bar. Thickness is configurable. The label uses its measured glyph bounds and stays attached to the actual indicator after font, scale or side changes.
Detection uses the mobile speech, spell group and action information actually received by the client. Remote results therefore depend on what the server transmits. Visibility range, not obstacle scan distance, limits the relevant visible world objects.
Fonts and colors
Font family, size and color can be configured independently for supported interface text, journal, chat, viewport messages, overhead speech, names, damage, ordinary tooltips, world-hover cards and cast labels.
Custom .ttf and .otf files can be copied to Fonts beside the client. Use Reload Fonts folder after copying while the client is running. These fonts remain private to the client and are not installed into Windows.
With Use original game/source color enabled, changing the family or size preserves the original dynamic UO hue. When it is disabled, the manually selected hue square is used.
World-hover cards
Hover cards support mobiles, world items, backpack items, nested containers, equipped items, paperdoll, static, multi and land tiles. Settings include delay, horizontal or column layout, automatic width, background hue and opacity, and text font, hue and opacity.
Selectable fields include the server label, local label, serial, graphic/body/tile ID, hue, amount, coordinates, container, layer and properties actually available to the client. A serial-bearing object can receive a throttled server-name request, no more than once per object in 30 seconds during the session. Static, multi and land tiles use available client TileData because they have no server serial.
Label item... stores a profile-local label by serial, up to 120 characters. An empty value removes it. This does not rename the item on the server.
Info Bar and item data
Info Bar supports 25 player values. It measures each cell from its text, draws an outer frame and separators, and wraps or stacks cells when the bar becomes narrow. Text should not cross a separator.
Weapon Damage uses available data in priority order: extended server status, weapon OPL, known client base data, then N/A. Hidden attributes that the server never sends cannot be reconstructed.
Automation and experimental options
Bad Newbie also contains AutoLoot, AutoBuy and AutoSell rules and experimental options such as Auto Open Doors, click automove and standard UO hotkey handling. Auto Open Doors acts on a concrete door serial before a step and limits repeated action for the same door to roughly 500 ms. Experimental checkboxes are saved with Apply.
