Beaches attract fun-seekers and vacationers and, with them, disposable items which are left scattered on the shoreline, often embedded in the sand. The tides also bring in undesirable substances and debris which make the seashores unhygienic. Untreated waste is dumped directly into the sea.The floating wastes gets accumulated at the sea shore.Due to wind the wastes gets settled at the seashore. Due to the crowd of people and the vehicular moments, the sand surface becomes uneven and unordered. Therefore , a need exists for a scraping and cleaning machine particularly structured to remove debris from the surface of a beach, while preventing sand dislocation or build up or collection. The major difficulty encountered in cleaning up litter off beaches with machines is picking up the garbage without hauling off large volumes of sand.several attemps have been made in the past to efficiently remove the debris without removing sand. This project concerns a beach cleaner apparatus,adapted to be drawn across a surface of sand to remove debris and to smooth the surface.Thus an objective of this project is to efficiently clean litter off beaches with minimal shifting of the sand along with smoothing the surface of the sand.

The beach cleaning robot consists of a wide vehicular chassis to which wheels are attached for moving across the surface of the sand. A conveyor belt whose pulleys are attached to the vehicular chassis for carrying debris from the surface, a litter box attached at the back to collect the debris , a metal sheet at the rear end to sweep the sand at a particular level and a crusher blade attached inside the litter box to crush the waste collected. The excavating plates are attached to the surface of the conveyor belt to lift the debris off the sand surface. When the conveyor starts moving, the excavating plates attached to the belt move along with it and when they touch the ground surface, they lift the debris and carry along with them as the belt moves further. Then the garbage is thrown into the litter box, where it is crushed and metal sheet levels the sand surface. In this way the machine cleans the seashore surface. Nowadays, as more tourism is promoted to the beaches and seashores, more people are visiting to the beaches. Therefore, more efficient cleaning machines will be required. Hence, beach cleaning machines are having lot of scope in the future for the maintenance of the beaches.
